It’s time! The chapter we’ve all been waiting for (I know I have) has finally arrived. This is the chapter where we finally see how to make our first working AI model in the real world.

I know how eagerly you’ve been waiting for this, so let’s get straight into this.

1. Open the website: https://teachablemachine.withgoogle.com

This is the website that we’ll be making our model on. Did you really think I was going to give you some high-level geek code to make your own model? Don’t get ahead of yourself guys!

2. Choose your project type

Alright, so if you followed the above steps correctly you must have landed on a page looking like this.

Untitled

There are 3 types of projects that can be made through this website. I don’t think I’d need to explain you what’s going on in each one of them, but still for the sake of it.

In this demonstration I’ll be going forward by making an image project wherein the model distinguishes between me and my water bottle, but you are free to make whichever project you find most interesting.

Click on the “Image Project” button (or whichever one you are interested in) and let’s move ahead!

#NOTE: I’m only covering the Image Project part of this website in the further sections. If you’re interested in making some other project, go to the end of this chapter where I’ve provided you with links that show you how to do exactly that.

3. Gather the data

Once you select the “Image Project” button, something like this might open up.
